Come and Serve ... a time to discover faith in daily living
Baptism is more than an event”it is a way of life. During this stage in the process the newly baptized and those who affirmed their baptism explore God's call to mission. We reflect on the sacraments and the covenant God made with us in holy baptism:
¢ to live among God's faithful people;
¢ to hear the word of God and share in the Lord's Supper;
¢ to proclaim the good news of God in Christ through word and deed;
¢ to serve all people following the example of Jesus;
¢ to strive for justice and peace in all the earth. (from Evangelical Lutheran Worship pg. 236)
We explore the faith practices that help us live out that covenant. This stage culminates on the Day of Pentecost with a Rite of Affirmation of Vocation during worship.
